How long does it take to do research?

Some time, Serbia's archives are not microfilmed and not availible online due to data protection laws. This means you need to go there in person, write them or have someone for you to do research. As the latter is costly we advice people to join the SGS. The more members join, the stronger the effort becomes and members can help each other as we are all volunteers.

Serbian Research

I noticed that there appears to be nothing to research on line due to privacy issues but living in Canada, I'm not sure where to start. My wife's family were born in Zemun, Serbia/Yugoslavia and it's difficult to search the name. Her grandfather was Zivko Joksimovic (b.1898 d.1946) married Bojana Betty Naumoff (b.1900 Mogila, Macedonia d. 1989 Canada). Her father Damian (b.1926, Belgrade, d.1993 Canada).
I know Zivko father was also Damian but have no further information and only know that Zivko had a brother Petra. Where should I start?
