” I have learned so much. Many things are falling into place about my ancestors. No matter the outcome this has been an eye opener. ”
” Growing up I was told we were Hungarian from my grandmother’s side. It wasn’t until my grandmother got out some documents that my mother found a name of a town and located it in Yugoslavia. The info you put on the website is very helpful. ”
“Throughout my entire lifetime, I have never met or known anyone else with this surname. In my younger years before the Internet, whenever traveling, I would always check out phone books in other Cities looking for someone with our family’s surname, but to no avail. This always gave me the feeling that I was the last person living with this name, and that the family name would die with me. It was a very lonely feeling . For me to discover another living person whose surname is the same would be like if we would discover another nearby planet with human life on it !!! Up to this point, genealogy has always been a dead end for me. You have done in a few days what I’ve been trying to do for years.
So, I hope I have made your day by locating your surname in records
where you can see it, not on a headstone though but it gives you a starting point. 🙂
ARE YOU KIDDING? Surely you jest! You not only made my day, but the whole of my remaining twilight years. All of my life I have always felt so alone. Now I know that there’s possibly an excellent chance of having relatives somewhere in Europe. You made me very, very, happy.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Ever so much THANK YOU !!! ”
“I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all the information you have passed on to me.I had reached a brick wall where my relatives were concerned.
I am now spending time reading everything that you have sent.”
” Just wanted to say that your document on Serbian research is AWESOME! Mnogo mnogo hvala!”
“Please thank everyone for me that is helping. This means more to me that all that I have.”
“WOW..I cant believe it.. I had another look at the site you recommended and I’m so
glad I did.. I found a story in there about our whole village and surrounding villages
getting involved in a dispute over grazing land in 1933..It is an eyewitness account and very detailed….
FASCINATING!!! I never thought I d actually get a glimpse into how they lived their lives…..
My grandfather and great grandfather would definitely have been involved.. There is even a
poem about the dispute that was written by my first cousins grandfather and he is mentioned by name..!!!!
Thank you for posting that link again i would never have come across this otherwise…:) ”
