The only things that i know about Jovan Dokmanovic is that he came to America on May 22 1899 aboard the ship S.S.Kensington. He came to Pittsburgh Pa. to a brother in law's home. He had a sister named Mary who listed on her wedding application that her fathers name was Limo and her mother was Martha.
I have no info on Simicas arrival other than it was before 1905, because that is when they were married in 1905.
She had two brothers living here at the time, Nicholas and Peter Mrvos.
Her brothers were older, Nicholas was born about 1871.
They remained Serbian Orthodox and belonged to the Youngwood Serbian Orthodox Church in Youngwood, Pa.
Any information or direction you can point me will be greatly appriciated
One story about my Grandmother Simica is that her family was wealthy and did not approve of her marrying out of her class.
