My father’s mane was GRCEVIC.
I don’t know if your name Gorcecich was an derivating of my father’s name…only i know is that this name , GRCEVIC have origin in GOSPIC ( Croatia ).
My father and his family told me this.
Lot of people have this name in this town and around.

I try to search in this town for any informations,but i don’t have any news for the moment…

The religion saint of my Serbian family is: Saint GEORGES (with the Dragon)
Place of birth of my Serbian family Zunic, Obradovic, Maricic is Zlatiborski kraja and Ljubis ( near Zlatisbor ).

Here what i know about them: The first name that i have is: MARICIC Tihomir, adopted when he was child by ZUNIC family. He was born between 1870 and 1880.

His wife was an Turkish refugee ( probably serbian origin who come in Serbia with her sister Milka.). Her name was Vinka …i don’t know her surname.

Tihomir zunic (born MARICIC) and VINKA have only one boy, ZUNIC BOGIDAR, born in 1900.

Wife of BOGIDAR ZUNIC was OBRADOVIC MILJANA, born in 22 March 1901.
Thez have 8 children between 1920 / 1943:- Radosav zunic, Georges zunic ( death in 1977 ), Vojmir zunic, Sreten Zunic, Radojla Zunic ( death in 2000 ), Vinka zunic, Milka zunic and Drinka zunic ( my mother).

I search all about these family.

My mother, Drinka Zunic is wife of GRCEVIC Branko from Slovenia.
I search about my father family too.

Here i know about my Father family.

The first name that i have is the grand-father of my father: GRCEVIC IVAN.
in my family, it said that the origin of this surname was: GOSPIC or Veliki GRDEVAC, BJELOVAR…

He have 2 children ( i don’t know his wife name ): STJEPAN GRCEVIC born in 17 August 1906 and DRAGOJA GRCEVIC, not married.

STJEPAN GRCEVIC was married between 1920/ 1926 with SMJEROG ANKA born in 29 August 1908, daugther of TOMA SMJEROG ,born in 19 March 1873 ,and TEREZIJA LULIC.

STJEPAN GRCEVIC and SMJEROG ANKA have 4 CHILDRENs: – IVICA GRCEVIC ( death when she has 4 years ) -MARIA (MARICA) GRCEVIC born in 1927/1928, KATA GRCEVIC born in 1938 and BRANKO GRCEVIC,born in 1942 ( my father).

Pozdrav svima. Ne mogu da pronadem nigde podatak o svom prezimenu. Neko mi je ispricao da mozda potice iz Crne Gore. Me?utim dosta generacija je zivelo u Gnjilanu, odosno u njegovoj blizini. Najvice sto sam saznao od svojih rodjaka je da su dsli iz Krusevca, ali ne znaju nista pre toga, ili datume.
