    Hello everyone,
I am looking for anyone who may know or may be interested in the Rogic or Levic family from the Mandjelos village or thereabouts. Any information or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Hello Robert,

The letter looks good. I do suggest to put a list of the names with dates on a seperate form since I know that most archival people are bookworms. It will also prevent any confusion. Try putting it in a family tree kind of shedule if you can. Otherwise I would say you can go for it. Lets see how far you can get with this.

If there is anything else let me know.

    Hi Shiela,

Have you found Stana’s ship manifest? Perhaps this is it. There is a Stana Radikovik arr June 08, 1920 from someplace called Nokrina next of kin Stana PRALYN from Dalmatie Serbia destination Columbus, OH then Philadelphia is written over it husband Jorge RADIKOVIK 1094 Ben St Columbus OH birthplace Serbia, DUBROKOVITVH The manifest shows she went through a special inquiry. and there is a medical notation on the manifest. Could this be Stana? She may have been born in Dubrovnik.

Of course Djuro nor Stana came from Serbia apparently they came from Croatia, as did most Serbs prior to WWII. Checking the online phone book there is one listing for:

    NAME TOWN ADDRESS PHONE

PRLAINOVIC EDITH Dubrovnik, Ivana Gorana Kovacica 17 (+385) 20 419 176 carwidow wrote:

Concering the letter we talked about.
It should contain the following info:

    * The names, dates of birth and the place of the persons you wish to inquire.
    * Your complete info
    * The reference to the society
    * Question about asking them about covering any expenses.

The best thing to do first is to ask first for one generation to see what they have.
If you wish you can send me a copy of your letter first before you want to have it translated.

    Regards,

    Sergej

What!! The link you gave to Ancestry.com is a search result for the surname SERBIAN! Don’t believe this matches anything Robert Bartosh was looking for.
