SpectatorJohn, send me an email with your login data, so your login and password send it to [email protected] Ill check your account settings.
I presume Stasa moves at the speed of a turtle, did he send you anything untill now? If you can send it to me I will upload it to your gedcom section.
As for the priest, yea they sometimes act like that and are not the shining examples I want them to be.Patience is a virtue for Serbia. I am planning for my work to move our office to Serbia Belgrade since I am not in Serbia right now. Once I am there I agreed with Danica and the others that we will open a real office for the society but we will also be able then to do more then we do now. I dont want to blow my own horn but Ill have to see. In december there are also elections in Serbia so it depends also on how things go then.
I understand your frustration, my mother in law who lives near Belgrade got sick (stroke and heart attack) and there is absolutely no health care. So we spend 1 month there arranging things that you would arrange in 1 week in the US/EU so no problem with rambling on that. The non-politics rule we have on the forums is to keep out freaks that start a dicussion on the war and “flame” it.
Anyways, if you want I can give you ring one of these days? Let me know, I am in GMT+1 so there is a time difference.
Talk to you later

SpectatorJohn,
How do you mean, your login works fine since you can post here? You always need to use the login box on the left hand to login. Let me know where you get an error or email [email protected]

SpectatorHi Doug,
You would have to check with FamilySearch to see if these records are availible. For Montenegro microfilming has been done but from what I know not everything. Otherwise you would have to contact the archives in Podgorica directly with your request. You can find their address here on the forum http://www.rodoslovlje.com/voyager/phorum/search.php?13,search=address+montenegro,page=1,match_type=ALL,match_dates=30,match_forum=ALL
You should also address the churches in that region to see if they have anything in their books.

SpectatorYea Danica got a new PC so she is back online working on the dbases. Keep me posted.

SpectatorPavkov is a surname that is used predominantly in the Vojvodina region. So your best bet would be the archives there.
That would be Saravale, they have a filial parish until 1878 of Großsanktnikolaus. So most likely you would need to focus on that region and the north east of Vojvodina. I dont know how many resources you have but you could consider membership in the society. We can help with writing letters and other fun things

The reason why they are listed as Hungarian-Serbian is most likely because they were then under the realm of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Hope this helps.
